Campus Life
Games, Sports, and Cultural Programs at the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (NIZC)
At the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (NIZC), extracurricular activities such as games, sports, and cultural programs play a vital role in promoting the physical well-being, social bonding, and cultural identity of the trainees.
Games and Sports:
The institute regularly organizes both indoor and outdoor games to encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Popular sports include football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and traditional Bhutanese games such as degor and khuru. Annual sports days and friendly inter-house competitions foster a healthy competitive spirit and give trainees a break from their routine training.

Cultural Programs:
Cultural events are a vibrant part of campus life at NIZC. Students actively participate in traditional dance and music performances during important national celebrations, institute events, and religious ceremonies. These programs not only showcase the rich cultural heritage of Bhutan but also instill a deep sense of pride and respect for tradition. Events like Zorig Day and national holidays provide platforms for trainees to display their talents in singing, dancing, skits, and traditional attire shows.

Through these activities, the institute promotes a balanced and enriching experience that nurtures creativity, unity, and national identity among its trainees.
