This course focuses on carving and modeling Bhutanese iconographies, emphasizing traditional motifs, religious figures, and architectural elements. Trainees will acquire skills in using traditional and modern tools, interpreting traditional designs, and producing intricate woodwork used in temples, monasteries, and traditional Bhutanese structures. In addition to technical skills, the course also instills an appreciation for Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage, ensuring the preservation and continuation of this ancient art form.
