This course covers various Bhutanese mask carving and slate carving techniques, focusing on the creation of traditional masks used in religious festivals and performances, as well as intricate slate carvings often found in temples and sacred sites. Trainees will learn advanced carving methods, the use of specialized tools, and the interpretation of traditional designs and symbolism. The course aims to deepen the trainees’ artistic skills and cultural understanding, preparing them to become highly skilled artisans capable of contributing to the preservation and promotion of Bhutanese heritage.
